Q: What did you want to be when you were a kid
A: Once I got the worm in my head that I could actually do this a long time, man, that was my primary plan. But I wanted to be a military man, um, my father – he’s a historian and a Marine himself and I grew up on stories of him telling me about the great military campaigns of the past. How men were able to prove themselves in times of strife and how men grew mentally spiritually and physically every day in order to really accomplish their goals, forge their paths and really be open to adapting to a future. So being a military man, I wanted to be part of an elite group, in whatever I did whether it would be being an active duty army officer or an elite vaulter, that’s what I really wanted to do, I wanted something I could really throw my effort into each and every day and to really boost whoever was around me. But you know when I was a kid I wanted to be a firetruck. But later I wanted to be a fireman because I thought firemen were kinda like heroes, they could arrest people. Somebody told me down the line that firemen could arrest people. And that firemen were like police that put out fires. And I was like Oh Yeah! That’s what I want to be, I want to be a fireman and arrest the people that start these fires! I know it’s kinda silly but you know, it tells you a little about me I guess.
